Crash

Post by mics » Sun Mar 13, 2016 10:12 pm

Crash happened at alt-tabbing into EveHQ. No meaningful message or dialog.
I have Windows 10.
Log contains this:

On restart, none of fits that I have changed were saved.
Is there a way to force save fits without closing the application?

Was EveHQ running for a long time when you experienced the crash ?

It was probably running for a couple of hours, but surely less than 8 hours.
This is not the first time it crashes this way, and every time EveHQ was running for some hours before crashes. Most of the times, I would have the fitter open, but not other plugins.

I understand it's too late to save data when the crash like this happens.
But is it possible to force save fits (or any other data) after I updated them *before* it crashed, to avoid data loss?

Not for now, it's a good improvement we could work on.
I often lose some fitting data when I get crashes as well, I feel you !

EDIT: By the way, this crash should not happens anymore with the next release.

Hey there, I was wrong about data saving.
You can force it manually or/and set an autosave timer in the settings.

Thanks to paulkpeterson for pointing this to me !
